This track was originally prepared for the compilation " THE APPEAL OF DISCARDED ORTHODOXY: A TRIBUTE TO DAVID E. WILLIAMS". A very different vocal and instrumental arrangement I did appears on that CD.

This version is closer to my original idea (for better or worse). The genesis was the various arrangements David and I performed live including one with the string parts played on my guitar synthesizer which makes an appearance here.

For this demo I initially went back to an acoustic guitar version but as you can hear it evolved in in a different direction anyway. I don't do vocals that often and was feeling nostalgic for my 90s "industrial voice" (again, for better or worse) and thought it fit with the other touches on this arrangement.

David's original track appears on his album "Hope Springs a Turtle" and the final cover version I did appears on the Old Europa cafe 2CD compilation. Both are available from his website catalog at:
